the real weezy
Christmas was amazing, but insanely stressful this year.
I’ll post more about it when I have the time.
For now, I leave you with me and some of my ridiculous best friends, singing to “Say It Ain’t So” by Weezer!

Sharebear: Yuksek!
Totally in love with this dude, Yuksek.
I might be a little late on this, but whatevs.
Haling from Reims, France, Yuksek has crafted some dirty ass remixes of songs og by Mika, The Kaiser Chefs, and Ghostface Killah. His new album, “Away From the Sea” features the love of my life, Amanda Blank, on the track “Extra Ball”. His other tracks are equally wonderful, and totally dance worthy!
CHECK HIM OUT!
below is the link to the actual video, since i cant find any sites to embed it in here. 😦
Weekend & Random
This weekend was a fun one. On Friday, was our Friday the 13th party at Monty’s house. The theme was supposed to be villains & victims, but not many people dressed up. I went all out, since I missed Halloween. I dressed up as a dead Fafinette (french graffiti artist, Fafi’s creations). Ava was Cruella Deville. Marielle was a dalmation. and Guns was a hotdog hahaha. My girl Ebz came out from the BX too. Always fun to chill with her.
Here are some flicks from that:
On Sunday, Ava had a birthday soiree at Scudder Beach. It was a lot of fun. Filled with good people, good food, wine, & fishing. Also got to see one of my favorite people in the world, Devin. That ginger boy is my heart! ❤
Tomorrow, Felt 3 drops. I believe this one is “A Tribute to Rosie Perez”, which is awesome. Love Rosie Perez. I’m glad another Felt album has dropped. Slug & Murs are a perfect duo. They sound great together.
Also, stay tuned because a few friends and myself are starting a theme band soon! cannot wait.
Sharebear: Sweatheart
“Philadelphia-based filth-rock collective Sweatheart specializes in raunchy club/pop with titles like “Fingerbangin'” and “Dreambeaver.” Formed by visual artists Thom Lessner and Rose Luardo in 2005, Sweatheart’s debut album, So Cherri, was released on Tone Arm Records in the summer of 2006. The band further included Amanda Blank by this time, along with their backing band “The Toddlers.” ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
I’ve loved this band for awhile now. They’re so great. Dress-up bands are great fun and me and some of my broads actually have a project lined up… but that’s a secret for now.
Sweatheart has fun, dancey, vulgar songs. “Finger bangin'” being my favorite. They’ve always got great costume themes too.
Especially love that my future ex-girlfriend, Amanda Blank (rapper/singer), is in this band. she’s so talented. When I saw her live, i was in love. prettiest lady ever, in my opinion.
Here be some flicks and videos.
They Reminisce Over You
Stumbled across some old pictures and videos from some of the greatest years of my life!
I would go to the Funky Phish every thursday and see my dear friends in their band. First they were called Troop 47, then with a little tweaking of the line up, they transitioned to The Restaurant. Seriously had the best times there, every single thursday. Sometimes I wish I could relive those days. There was no drama and carefree people, just having a good time.
I miss it mad.
Here are some pictures (warning, there are mad of them) and videos (you can spot me in them).

“make it hot”- nicole wray
this little gem is still played on the regular, by me.
and it makes me think of Justin Stage.
“i’m scared.”
“me too.”
Sharebear: Xiu Xiu
“Crank Heart” -Xiu Xiu (one of my favorite songs ever!)
“Xiu Xiu (pronounced “shew shew”) is an experimental band originally from San Jose, California and currently based in Oakland, California. The band is named after the main character of the 1998 Chinese film Tian yu (a.k.a. Xiu Xiu: The Sent-Down Girl).”

I highly suggest getting into all of their music. It’s definitely not for everyone, but for those who it is for, it will blow your mind!
❤
I just don’t get it.
For a very, very, VERY long time now I’ve been wondering… why the fuck are people obsessed with Lil Wayne?
I don’t understand it.
There are a butt load of girls who think he is hot. His face actually makes me want to vomit. He looks like a muppet. Animal, remember him? That’s who he looks like.
Ok, ok, there’s like 2 songs that I don’t mind… but they’re older, before he got huge.
I don’t get it. He is not intelligent, his lyrics aren’t intelligent, he sounds like he’s eaten 10 oxycontin, I DON’T GET IT.
hahaha, sorry I’m hating, but it really just baffles me.
But, he must be doing something right to be this famous.
Shame on everyone for giving him so much fame lol.
/end rant
sorry about that.
don’t take offense, this is just my opinion… as I’m sure I listen to music that many of you don’t enjoy lol

“Wolf Like Me” – TV on the Radio
will never everevereverevereverever get sick of this song. it’s amazetits, and always will be.
❤
Say, say, my playmate
wont you lay hands on me
mirror my malady
transfer my tragedy
Got a curse I cannot lift
shines when the sunset shifts
when the moon is round and full
gotta bust that box, gotta gut that fish
My mind’s aflame
We could jet in a stolen car
but I bet we wouldn’t get too far
before the transformation takes
and blood lust tanks and
crave gets slaked
My mind has changed
my body’s frame, but god I like it
my hearts aflame
my body’s strained, but god I like it
My mind has changed
my body’s frame, but god I like it
my hearts aflame
my body’s strained, but god I like it
Charge me your day rate
ill turn you out in kind
when the moon is round and full
gonna teach you tricks that’ll blow your
mongrel mind
baby doll I recognize
you’re a hideous thing inside
if ever there were a lucky kind it’s
you you you you
I know its strange another way to get to know you
you’ll never know unless we go so let me show you
I know its strange another way to get to know you
we’ve got till noon here comes the moon
so let it show you
show you now
Dream me, oh dreamer
down to the floor
open my hands and let them
weave onto yours
Feel me, completer
down to my core
open my heart and let it
bleed onto yours
Feeding on fever
down all fours
show you what all that
howl is for
Hey hey my playmate
let me lay waste to thee
burned down their hanging trees
it’s hot here hot here hot here hot here
Got a curse we cannot lift
shines when the sunset shifts
there’s a cure comes with a kiss
the bite that binds the gift that gives
now that we got gone for good
writhing under your riding hood
tell your gra’ma and your mama too
it’s true
we’re howling forever

Artist of the Week: Saul Williams
This dude has a way with words. He’s such a poet. One of my favorites. And his music is amazing. I suggest you take a listen, you’ll learn something.
I remember when I heard him for the first time, around 2004, i believe. I was in my friend’s car, when I lived in Florida. We were on our way home from the bar and he put this fucking beautiful song on. It was, “Tao of Now” by Saul Williams and featuring Esthero (who i love, as well), and I immediately fell head over heels in love with it. Been following his work ever since.
I even love his version of U2’s “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, and I loathe U2, as well as most covers. But this one done did it.
So in conclusion, get up on your Saul Williams knowledge.

“disco dance with you (remix)”- Teki Latex f/ Spank Rock & Amanda Blank
“Teki Latex, lead lothario of French electro-rap crew TTC and sonic proprietor of Institubes and Sound Pellegrino. Armed with a mission to “be innovative in this world of Elves dressed like The Strokes,” Teki tends towards ATL-gone-sci-fi, blending Ralph Lauren, Nikes, golf caps and edgier, textured embellishments—the odd Sixpack scarf or knitted socks from Henrik Vibskov. Our current favorite is a look he titles “Major Blazer,” a combo of cardinal blue deck shoes and tailored Lauren blazer flossed with a black silk Roc Star square as a shawl. It’s not stuffy prep so much as “classy in the club,” perfect for transitioning from daytime on Harvard yard to a nighttime rave on a boat.”
-via Fader
This song totally makes me want to dance my ass off. Even now, although I’m a sick puppy complete with swollen eyes, sore throat, stuffy nose, pounding headache, and a fever, to top it off.
But this brightens up my day.
And of course it helps that Spank & Amanda are in this remix.

RIP: Roc Raida
“In another terrible loss for the hip-hop community, Grand Master Roc Raida (real name: Anthony Williams) of the X-Ecutioners passed away on Saturday due to complications from a mixed-martial-arts accident, according to a statement released by his family. Raida had a two-decade career, which skyrocketed in 1995 when he won the DMC World DJ Championship. He released seven solo albums along with several LPs with his famed crew, the X-Ecutioners. Over the last few years, Raida had been Busta Rhymes’ live DJ, where his showmanship skills were a perfect marriage for Busta and Spliff Starr’s energetic stage antics.”
